Is it bad to leave your computer on the carpet.

Leaving it just on the carpet is safe but not recommended. Can you put a pc tower on carpet. Most laptops generate and vent heat through the bottoms of the units. Keeping the pc will leave it less exposed to dust that gathers on the floor this is a bigger problem if you have a carpet.

Although having your own machine is useful for small stains and routine cleaning most home machines don t have the suction power professional machines do. And if you have a window in the case you can admire the computer while your game loads. A bad carpet cleaning job can leave your carpet worse off than it was to begin with. It s bad even if air doesn t flow into or out of the case here however if your pc sinks into the carpet a bit heat can build up underneath due to the lack of airflow. There s a science to balancing airflow through. I can vacume around my computer that way i can have my psu be facing down because i vacume nearly 3 4 times a week. I slid a piece of cardboard under there and it was fine. Lol my computer is on a carpet dont worry about as long as you open it up once a year or so and clean dust its will be alrite.

I was wondering if i should get a cheap peace of plywood and put it on that or if it didn t really matter. Sure you can it s fine. But carpets are really good at trapping dust pet hair and all manner of other things.
