To determine the roughness of the concrete floor we put a direct rail to the floor and a level is determined at any not very smooth place. If your concrete passes the moisture test then plastic sheeting at least 6 mils thick will prevent moisture from getting into your laminate flooring. Where plastic sheets must be joined overlap the sheets by several inches and use strong vinyl tape to secure them. Laminate flooring is ready to install as long as the base floor is clean and smooth.

Leave the flooring in the room for three days before installation. Insert the tongue of the second row plank into the groove of the first row plank at a slight angle until the laminate edges meet. Add about 10 to that number to account for any possible mistakes and warped boards. Place the laminate flooring on the concrete slab in the room where it is to be installed.

Place a piece of underlay on the concrete sub floor and a laminate board on top. A container for solution. Next use a back saw to cut the wooden door jamb by holding it perfectly level. Determine how much flooring and materials will be needed.
